By applying to or enrolling in Modern Coding School you agree to these terms.

The gate

Work is CONFERRED or WITHHELD. Pass/fail is the core mechanic. One resubmission is included per module. A second WITHHELD results in repeating the module. There is no partial credit.

You agree that the gate decision — made by the rubric, the agent review, and the human reviewer in combination — is final. Disputes go to hello@moderncoding.school; the response is the reviewer’s written finding, not a reversal.

The credential

The credential is signed by you, on your domain, using the key we help you generate. We do not hold your credential. We maintain a record in the register. The register is public, permanent, and forkable. You own the artifact.

Tuition

Tuition is stated clearly to accepted applicants before any payment. No payment is required at application. Refunds are available within 7 days of the cohort start date.

Content

Curriculum content is published free under AGPL. Lab access, feedback, and gate participation are the paid product. Your submissions remain your own.

What we owe you

The lab, the Incident Days, the rubric, the agent first-review, the human sign-off, and the credential — delivered as described in the curriculum. If we fail to deliver, you get a refund.

What you owe us

Honest submissions. Don’t submit work an agent produced without your evaluation. Don’t submit other people’s evaluations. The gate catches this; the consequence is a WITHHELD and a written finding.
