Privacy policy

Last updated: MMXXVI

Modern Coding School operates on a simple principle: we collect the minimum data required to run the school and nothing more. We do not track you. We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party analytics.

What we collect

  • Email address — required for cohort communication and credential delivery.
  • Application content — the build and evaluation you submit. Used only for admissions decisions.
  • Usage logs — server logs (IP, timestamp, path) retained for 7 days for security purposes.

What we do not collect

  • Cookies (except a session cookie if you log in to the lab — no tracking cookies).
  • Analytics of any kind (no GA, no Plausible, nothing).
  • Behavioural data, fingerprints, or cross-site tracking.

Where data lives

Data is self-hosted on our own infrastructure, in the EU. No data is sent to third-party processors except email delivery (we use a transactional email provider for credential notifications — details on request).

Your rights

GDPR applies. Request deletion, access, or correction: hello@moderncoding.school.

Changes

We’ll announce changes in the weekly dispatch. This policy is in version control at gitea.aipe.dev/moderncodingschool/moderncoding-school — see the commit history for diffs.
